I have lived here for almost 12 years, and I have visited well over ½ Japan’s prefectures. It always amazes me how vast and different this country can be. It respects the seasons, culture, history and traditions, while at the same time pushing forward with new ideas, technology and innovation.  I have added this photo because for me, it demonstrates this point clearly.

I hope to be adding more information in the future about life in the old capitol of Japan, the number one tourist spot in the country…Kyoto. My work will moving there at the end of March, and I am truly looking forward to experiencing this ancient city as a local, and not simply a visitor as I have many times up to now.  I hope to add posts about the people, food, style and feel of Kyoto…and of course…its culture. Stay tuned for more!
